A striking vintage freeform art glass centerpiece bowl in a rich amethyst purple colour. Its sculptural design features flowing curves, deep folds and elongated petal-like points, creating a dramatic organic form that changes depending on the viewing angle. The thick clear and purple glass catches and reflects the light beautifully. This substantial decorative bowl would make an impressive centrepiece for a dining table, coffee table, sideboard or display cabinet. The exact maker and country of origin are unknown. The design is characteristic of European mid-century art glass, particularly Czech and Italian glassmaking traditions. The piece is unsigned and is therefore offered without a definitive attribution. There are visible scratches and signs of wear on the underside of the base, together with a few very light, barely noticeable surface scratches within some of the recessed areas.
