Stunning antique sauce tureen and cover, part of a tableware range, porcelain with painted and gilded decoration, shape designed by Christian Joachim, decorated by Arno Malinowski, manufactured by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, 1925. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Porcelain sauce tureen and cover with a stem base and two handles, each handle has a stylised crest appendage at the bottom, a knob of similar design surmounted on the cover; decorated with painted birds and plants and gilding. Height without lid: 11.5 cm (4.5 inches); with lid: 21.5 cm (8.5 inches). From handle to handle: 28 cm (11.0 inches); width: 18.5 cm (7.3 inches). There is a large chip on the handle, a chip on the edge of the lid, and the lid handle has been glued back together. Please refer to the pictures for the full item condition and details.
