An antique KPM Berlin porcelain chamberstick, circa 1900, with a figural lady handle, hand-painted floral decoration and gilt detailing. The low handled candlestick has a shaped Rococo-inspired form with moulded scrollwork, scattered flowers in soft pink, purple, yellow, blue and green tones, and gold accents. The handle is modelled as a female head wearing a purple head covering, giving the piece a distinctive figural character. The underside is marked with the blue underglaze KPM Berlin sceptre mark. Based on the form, decoration and mark, the chamberstick is estimated to date from around 1900.
