Handmade Wooden Chopping Boards & Serving Boards

Browse handmade wooden chopping boards and serving boards made from solid woods such as oak, walnut, acacia and pear. Each piece has its own grain, shape and natural variation, with designs suited to everyday food preparation, bread, cheese, charcuterie and relaxed table serving. The collection changes as individual boards sell and new pieces are added, so every visit can reveal a different mix of sizes, woods and hand-carved forms.

Handmade wooden chopping boards shaped from natural wood

Each board is shaped from solid natural wood, so the grain, colour, knots and outline belong to that individual piece. Walnut, oak, acacia, pear, maple, beech and other woods appear across the changing collection, sometimes as separate choices within one listing. Differences in tone and form are part of the character of handmade wood rather than a reason to expect two boards to match exactly. Because some listings include a choice of woods or shapes, check the variation details and photographs for the exact material, dimensions and form currently available.

Chopping, serving, bread and cheese boards

These boards are made to be used as well as displayed. Smaller pieces work well for bread, cheese or snacks, while larger boards can move from kitchen preparation to serving at the table. Depending on the shape and size, a board may suit chopping vegetables, slicing bread, presenting cheese or charcuterie, or carrying simple servings to the table. If you are searching internationally, you may also know them as wooden cutting boards, cheese boards or charcuterie boards. For ideas on keeping practical boards visible, see our guide to displaying wooden boards in a cottage kitchen.

Custom sizes and board sets

If you need a size not currently shown, contact Wood With Soul Studio before ordering to discuss what is feasible. A similar board can be discussed in a requested size and an approximately similar shape; where feasible, coordinated sets of two or three boards can be made in different dimensions. Natural grain, colour and small variations mean an exact duplicate is not possible. Engraving and name personalisation are not offered, so custom requests should focus on practical size, quantity and approximate form.

Wooden board care

Care instructions vary by listing, so check the product page for the selected piece. For boards intended for food preparation, care usually means hand washing with mild soap and warm water, drying thoroughly, and avoiding dishwashers or prolonged soaking. Occasional treatment with a suitable food-safe mineral oil or board-conditioning oil or wax can help protect the surface as it is used. Keep the board away from direct heat and allow it to dry fully before storage.
